After 5 million kilometres on the road, it was time for one of our trucks to get a massive overhaul. Everything from the exterior to the interior is getting ripped out, restored and/or replaced- this truck won’t even be recognizable when we’re through with it. It’s a huge project that will take several hundred man-hours before it’s completion.

We decided to start by tackling the heart of the truck: The engine. It’s a rare, out-of-production Caterpillar engine, that is packing some serious horsepower. We decided to restore it to it’s former glory, so we took it all apart and rebuild it. by getting rid of all the rust and grime that’s it’s accumulated over the years. We polished it up and gave it a new paint job, all while staying true to it’s original factory colours.
